I put on some older songs from when I was younger for my kids this morning and “Secret Ambition” by Michael W. Smith came on. It got me thinking. No one at the time could truly see Christ’s ambition to die and to ultimately have a restored relationship with us. He looked at that and focused on that to endure the cross. Do we have that ambition? Do we do the hard things to have that relationship? What is your secret ambition? What do you secretly want to rebel against in order to obtain? What do you secretly want to go after with all that you have? What do you want to do? Are you ready to give your life away? Are you abiding in Him? Isn’t that what it means to be a Christian? To die to ourselves and live for Him? Let each of us examine ourselves to make sure each of us is doing just that. Seek the Truth.
